From Idea to Facility: The Real Work Behind a New Product with Sonia Gonzales

In this episode of the Kanawha Valley Hustlers podcast I chat with Sonia Gonzales to talk about what it takes to bring a new product to life. She is building AlxRX, a dual-chamber drink pouch made for pre-workout on the go. Powder and water stay separate behind a vegetable seal. You press it with about two pounds of pressure, the seal breaks, and the mix happens inside the pouch. A one-way valve lets you drink without spills.

We dig into when the vision started to feel real. She has worked on innovation for years, but a pivot in September or October into the fitness pouch made the timeline feel close. Now she expects production in the next six to eight weeks, with a package people can buy.

We also get honest about mistakes. A film choice turned into a $40,000 lesson. The material could handle high heat, but the manufacturer could not apply the fragile seal to it, so the run failed and she had to start over with different film.

Right now the biggest hurdle is manufacturing. She could not find a company that can fill powder and water into a dual pouch, so she has to build the facility herself. That means finding a space with high ceilings for tall equipment, and finding it fast.

Her guiding rule is simple: trust your intuition, stay true to your vision, and weigh advice without letting other people steer the wheel. If you want to follow the launch, look up AlxRX www.alxrx.com and follow AlxRX – Tactical Nutrition  for updates, giveaways, and preorder info.
