People ask me if they should blog, run email campaigns, or learn AI. The answer depends on their goals. For someone like MrBeast, content itself is the product. But most local businesses aren’t influencers. They use platforms to promote what they already sell.
I use this podcast as an example. It’s not about monetization. I don’t make money from it. I use it to build relationships, get to know my community, and share ideas. It’s about influence and connection.
Advertising is talking to strangers. Before that, make sure your friends and clients know what you do. Work on your message. Don’t expect a blog or video to change your business overnight. It takes time.
