On the Southside of Huntington is one of the boy’s favorite places, Ritter Park. They primarily love it because of the large playground, zipline and sand pit, but it also boasts walking trails, a rose garden, dog park, fountain, and tennis courts. If you’re looking for a nice picnic location or some excellent outdoor recreation, Ritter Park is a great place to visit!
In 2012, it was named as one of the 10 Great Public Spaces by the American Planning Association. The association singled out Ritter Park for its design, recreational and cultural amenities and its integration into a national historic district with homes that represent some of the most popular architectural styles from 1913-1940.
Clark loves it so much, he never wants to leave. Part of that is because there are always lots of kids there to play with and the other part is it’s an easy place to get lost in on a warm summer day.
